Developing a digital mindset in the healthcare sector
Context
As we worked with a primary healthcare organisation including Italian hospitals, we found out that independent e-learning and attendance to webinars may not be enough. Practical experience must be shared and discussed, also at international level, especially when it is crucial to take decisions and cope with healthcare emergencies like the Covid-19 pandemic.
Challenge
The healthcare sector is based on physical presence.
How can a digital mindset be promoted among people? How is it possible to support digital work of a large number of teams in an international setting? How to ensure prompt availability of secure certified digital platforms?
This has been our challenge in a context requiring to comply with CME accreditation (Continuing Medical Education).
Solution
We have developed a digital platform for CME courses and events. We have arrange a 24/7 service in a number of languages to support organisation, management, attendance and the chairing of meetings and events.
Result
In a semester, we facilitated over 50 events, including meetings, national and international webinars (including China), conferences with speakers from all over the world. We contributed to the promotion of a digital mindset in the organisation, extending live presence, enhancing the reputation and the effectiveness of the actions.
